Highlight on a Fabulous Fruit: The Apple

Deep in the forest of Alma-Ata* in the Tien-Shan mountains of what is now Kazakhstan, thousands of apple trees grow. Each one is unique, special in its own way. No two look alike, and no two bear fruit that tastes alike. From this forest came millions of seeds that grew millions of apple trees. Most of them were sour or bitter—good for making hard cider, but not much more.

But one of those seeds grew into a tree with sweet, delicious apples that dry beautifully, keeping their yummy, intense, apple taste. This tree was cloned, over and over, to create the varietal we chose for to offer our customers for their MojaMix. Give it a try! We promise you won’t be disappointed.
